Russ Moore asked me to pass this along. I am a member of SVRA, but quite
removed from the politics. I do not know what is going on internally.
Obviously there has been some upheaval. I will not add to the confusion
with speculation.

>Subject: SVRA Reorganization - Good news!
>
>Joe and all,
>Again, please pass on to the rest of the racers world. There is a rather
>"grassroots" effort lead by Pat Ryan to place the control and future of SVRA
>in the hands of the racers and members along with it's ownership. Pat has
>felt somewhat overwhelmed at times with the magnitude of the task but
>continues in the effort. This is as a result of the organization going in a
>direction felt by most to be counterproductive and contrary to the
>intentions and desires of the membership. Please read on.
>
>If ever there was a time for all of us to voice support and stand with
>someone, now is it. The future of the organization may well depend on all
>input and support, not only of time, participation but also of a financial
>nature. We have all at one time or another looked at each other and shook
>our heads at some of the situations we have observed or even been an
>unwilling part of, now we must be a part of helping to cure the problems. By
>some ones lack of participation the message you send is you don't care. We
>can either be part of the solution or become part of the problem. One person
>CAN make a contribution of input, even to identify some of the issues which
>may have contributed to some racers leaving the group. We want to get
>everyone back we lost as a result of frustrations and disgust with past
>situations. Those days are over.
>
>If nothing else, please contact Pat Ryan either by E-mail or fax to show
>your support and indicate how you will be willing to help in the turnaround
>of a sport we all hold with such high regard. Please be a part of this
>movement, your support is needed!
>
>Please also voice your desire to bring Jack Wohrle back into the fold. He
>has faithfully worked in all of our best interests over the past years and
>is one of those entities who left in disgust under the old regime. Jack has
>helped all of us over the years by ensuring a high level of safety and
>preparation was maintained. We need him with us. If you also feel this to be
>so, please contact him and tell him.
