HI BRIAN,
I AM BUILDING UP A NEW ENGINE AND DID CONSIDER GOING TO THE 89 MM
PISTONS. KEN GILANDERS HAS THEM AND WAS TRYING TO SELL ME SOME. I THEN
GOT A REALITY CHECK FROM MY VINTAGE RACING HERO, THE GRAND WAZOO, MIKE
JACKSON. HE SAID IF YOU RUN THEM IN VINTAGE YOU SHOULD MAKE IT KNOW TO
ALL THAT YOU ARE USING A NON-VINTAGE PART. DON'T TRY TO HIDE THE FACT.
THE RESULT THEN IS THAT YOU WILL PROBABLY GET PUT INTO A DIFFERENT
CLASS. IT DIDN'T TAKE ME LONG TO DECIDE THAT THE 89 MM PISTONS WERE NOT
FOR ME AS I WANTED TO FEEL GOOD IF I BEAT ANY OF MY RACING BUDDIES.
GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR DECISION!
