One thing if you decide to do the cap swap out yourself is back a couple
decades ago the older lead-based solder was replaced by lead-free which is not
compatible with the old stuff. You will need the old 60/40 or better 63/37
solder to work on these radios. Do not try plumbing solder either.
The cap leads will probably need to be scraped/cleaned a bit because the old
lead coating on them has been replaced with something else.

Restores antique tube and transistor radios and such. Basically says all the
caps fail after a couple of decades and changing out a few to make it work
isn't good enough and changes them all and sees what's up afterwards.
