CA is a "year of first registration" state, so the discussion of Year of Ti=
tle vs model year is not really applicable.
But, a seller is perceived as mis-leading if they put a year in the ad that=
does not match the title when the buyer arrives and takes a look.
(particularly if it is salvage titled, but also critical as cars titled as =
76 require bi-annual smog checks, while those titled as 75 do not, regardle=
ss of model year)
Funny how they were careful to blur out the lic plate to ward off the worry=
that those who had the resources could show up un-announced, but it is in =
a warehouse (doubtful the address on the title) and they missed one picture=
.
Those "kidney bean / 5 slot" rims were dealer offered upgrades at the time,=
although they have been nicely re-polished.
They were more common on Z's of the era, with zero offset, which these don'=
t appear to be based on them still fitting correctly on a "leaf spring sagg=
ing" rear end.
Refurbished, but dash has cracks already, so that puts it back in "driver" =
category ( but aren't they all?? ), so flop a carpet dash cover on there an=
d enjoy the drive.
Raining today in CA, so I like the hardtop option.... And it looks well car=
ed for too.
