DRLs are actually useful -- because unlike CHMSL=E2=80=99s they fill a void=
. Increasing numbers of tall vehicles, and tinted rear windows, make a furt=
her hash of the arguments in favor of=C2=A0 CHMSL=E2=80=99s, in my opinion.=
 They=E2=80=99ll pry my keys out of my cold, dead hands before I retrofit t=
hem to my Roadster or any other vehicle I own.

Unfortunately since then, distracted driving has become the norm rather tha=
n the exception, and the fact that my roadster =C2=A0(=E2=80=9969) tailites=
 are the =E2=80=9Cactivate second filament, get brighter=E2=80=9D version (=
not new lite coming on), and the known trait that they are so low to driver=
s behind which we all suffer thru, I think the 3rd brake light is a wise th=
ing to be added, however discreetly / tastefully it can be done. I commute =
in pretty tight traffic every day (though not in the roadster) and commonly=
 am looking thru the car ahead to brake lites of the cars in front (and don=
=E2=80=99t follow them panel vans), and 3rd lites then become much more imp=
ortant.  =C2=A0 My 4-door Toyota truck is a bit higher up, and the number o=
f people I see doing the head bob and =E2=80=9Csurfing=E2=80=9D while drivi=
ng is astonishing. (appalling)  =C2=A0 I am adding a harness crossbar to my=
 =E2=80=9Cstreet bar=E2=80=9D and will be adding 3rd brake lite(s) like Dav=
e Premo did as well.=C2=A0 =C2=A0(and Phil Erickson) (Todd Osborne did it r=
eally nicely by integrating them into his headrests, if memory serves me ri=
ght)  =C2=A0 Fergus O=E2=80=99FavoringMyFenders 69 2000 which needs its leg=
s stretched=20
