I responded on Monday, but never saw my response hit the list. Just =
checked the archives=E2=80=A6.nada. Let=E2=80=99s try again.
=20
I am doing the same thing on my =E2=80=9967 1600, i.e. using a Champion =
aluminum radiator for a 2000 and eliminating the thermostat tower by =
using a 240Z housing, which is a near perfect fit, still available and =
cheap. A regular L-series thermostat housing will also work, but IMO it =
isn=E2=80=99t as elegant and I like the angle of the 240Z outlet better.

Here are some links to pics of the 240Z housing on my R16 head plus =
comparisons of the 240Z and L-series thermostat housings:

=20
Hi Everyone
=20
Thank you in advance for your invaluable help.
=20
I am putting my car back together, and am going to install an aluminum =
U20 radiator. I want to replace the H20 (same as the R16) thermostat =
tower, but can't remember, or find, the proper replacement thermostat =
housing. Is it from a Chevy V8? Does the same thermostat I would =
otherwise use, work with this?
=20
Thank you again
