bYup...different: 3/8-16 vs M10-1.5 Forget which does what, but one will thread in (not tightly), the other will only go in a thread or two before jamming. However, other than the thread of the cam timing gear bolt, there doesn't appear to be any other SAE vs Metric differences. The cam bearings are identical.B That all said, I think it would be highly unusual to find the wrong bolt used unless the rebuild had been done by someone with a mix of parts laying around.
