Wow Pete!
Where were you 25+ years ago when I pulled things apart?
I'm not sure how to calculate what I have missed in that time as my roadster
sat up on jack stands. I always dreamed of dropping in to see Vern Colvin
and take him for a ride in his car. When he passed, I realized a little
about how many other opportunities had also passed along the way.
Hello Art,
Welcome to the warmer side of the country. My best suggestion would be to
follow Pete's suggestion. Toss the motor in and drive it like there is no
tomorrow.
Al my best,
Nolan

Before you do the "while I'm at it" and end up not driving it for another
couple of years, I suggest you drop the engine in and drive it while you
plan and save for the frame-off. You'll be up and running for the Solvang
meet in April where you'll get plenty of ideas for your car.
Just sayin'....

Moved to San Diego from MN; best decision in my life! Thanks for all the
great feedback.
I was about ready to drop my rebuilt engine into the car before we
moved...had it for 2 years and have not driven it yet :-(
Now I'm thinking since I'm in good weather I might as well do the whole
frame off while the engine is out.
Any info on recommended body/paint shops and frame strip and re-coat places
in the San Diego area would be appreciated.

Where in CA did you move? Los Angeles and San Diego as well as SF area have
quite a few cars around.
