Along the same vein of asking has anyone removed the dash cover I will
be a little more specific.
Has anyone found a way to remove the vinyl covering over the foam
underneath with as little damage to the old foam as possible? I want to
leave the foam to use as a guide for the new foam and make some form
modifications to my spare dash before I take the repaired and modified
dash (late model) to a company that can vacuum form a new vinyl cover
over the slightly reshaped dash so I can mount a modern radio in the
center of the dash just about clock-high or a little higher.
I finally took the step of learning how to put new upholstery behind the
seats. Now I need to figure out how to recover the door panels to
match. The holes for the clips are not in good condition and I could
use a suggestion or two about what kind of material to make the new hard
backing from and how to permanently bend it into the correct shape.

Makes it easier to search for answers, especially on something like dash
covers which has been discussed multiple times here and the 311s.org forums.

but let folks know you at least tried.

question was "Anyone ever remove a dash cover?" I'm guessing more than a
simple YES or NO was desired, but hard to say without any details,
especially without providing the year and model roadster.

Today's email programs and smartphones display word and grammar issues
so you don't have to be an English major:

attachments. I'm pretty sure the poster isn't happy with the dash cover
he purchased from Rallye (<note correct company name spelling), but
don't know why nor what the entire sentence means, so unsure how this is
useful to this list membership.
