Correction: after reviewing the info on the link Stan posted, I realize I
had only seen the 304 V8 Gremlin, not the 401-XR.
It was still very cool and in excellent condition.

The profoundly ugly car I always lusted over was the Gremlin with the option
not available in California, a 401 ci engine and 4 speed transmission.
Reported to be available in Arizona.
