When I went through my '66 in 1993, it was not frame-off. But, we unbolted
the body from the frame, and lifted it a couple of inches to make sure we
protected the contact points where the horsehair (?) pads were. I repleaced
the original pads with 65 durometer neoprene, which does not absorb water.
