That was actually a Griffith. It was based on a TVR. They were ugly like
bulldog is ugly - beautiful if you had acquired a taste for it. And yes,
went like stink! You might laugh at it, but don't try to beat it.

A British built vehicle named a Griffin was built about 30 - 40 years ago,
usually powered with a small Ford V-8 engine, like a 289 or 302. it was
very light weight. Very ugly, but mighty fast.
A better choice for comparison than a Peugeot.
