D - Drive or Low beam
M - Main or High beam
S - Switch, to Headlamp Switch
B - Battery, fused 12V supply.
To convert I would advise the use of a Ohm meter and a 9V dry cell
battery and some test leads.
B - S should read ~200ohm for the relay coil
B - M should read low resistance or short circuit.
Operate the relay with the 9V battery across B - S and you should see
low resistance or short circuit B - D.
Terminals M and D are interchangeable depending on whether you want the
relay operated on High or Low beam and the stalk forward or back towards
the driver.
So if they appear backwards to your logic/preference, just swap the M
and D wires;-)
If you use a low current source like the dry cell, you can't hurt
anything and won't fry yourself in the process.
If I had to guess it would be: -
B - 1
S - 2
M - 3
D - 4
But since there is no prize...........
