OK, I've been largly skimming this thread, not paying too much attention to
it,
until I put my horns back in today and guess what; They didn't work.
Narrowed
it down to the relay. Then found out I had swapped the ground and
supply wires
at the relay. Ooooops. No wonder it was heating up. All is
fine now, horns
work. But there was a time today I was thinking I should
review all the
responses in this thread.

my early 67 worked. I took them apart, couldn't figure
out how to fix them,
and then put them back together. I was rather surprised
and self
congratulatory when in fact they started working. ergo, if you just
take
them apart as another lister said, make sure they aren't stuck, you may
also
be surprised.
