Marty,
The Nissan parts manual shows two different wheels for the later cars (1600s
with engine numbers >40,000 and all 2000s). The optional wheel is listed as
14 x 4-1/2, but I thought that is the same size as the earlier 1600 wheels.
What are the differences between your two pairs of wheels. The stock tire
size was 5.60 x 14, with an option for 6.45 x 14 on the 2000. The 6.45 tire
would have fit on the 4-1/2 wheels.
I have a two-bolt 1600 water outlet housing/water outlet, but not the top,
onto which the cap screws. "Two-bolt" means two through-bolts with two
smaller holes in two "ears", through which cap screws help secure the top to
the housing. Photo attached (upside down). If it is what you need, you can
have it for the shipping.
Some 1600 heads had three-bolt mounting, which means three through-bolts
only. I don't remember which housing went with early heads or late heads.
If you are serious about restoring the car properly, stick with factory or
factory-replica rubber. Things fit better, the trunk closes better, and the
vent windows open and close easier.
You will get this message twice: Once to you lony with the h=photo
(attachments will not go through the autox.team.net server), and once
because I wanted to post my response to the List, to see what others may be
able to contribute to the wheel size issue.
Gary
