Eric,
Back in the late 60's there was a foreign auto parts house that had a
bus like this for their small deliveries. The also had one that was much
longer. They cut the side door section out of one bus and welded it back
together like the one pictured. They then cut the other van behind the
front seats, turned the previously cut out door section in backwards, so
the two "new" doors were on the driver's side. They used to park the two
vans parallel out front of their business in 2 standard parking places,
just one only using about half a parking place, and the other using 1.5
parking places. They really turned heads the first time you saw them!
