My '69 2000 (SRL311-11066) has an original locking gas cap and front
teardrop side markers but none on the rear fenders where I would expect
small round rear side markers. Mine also has what appears to be a '68 rear
bumper with the license plate lights on it. The rear clip otherwise seems
original but who knows? Even if the bumper was replaced there should be
license plate lights on the back trunk panel. Now that I have written all
this down and scratched my chin a few times, this could explain why there is
no lock cylinder for the trunk. Maybe the rear clip was replaced from a
'68...? Hmmm. That might also explain the ghetto gas tank straps I found
underneath. Perhaps I have one of those omelet cars?
Anyone have a spare truck lock cylinder? I mostly want to fill the hole and
will likely hook up a cable pull for convenience.
...ned.
