Gary's advice sounds very good, it's very thin metal and has been fatigued,
so it's not the easiest thing to weld. Might even be available as an
exchange!

I think Les Cannaday at Classic Datsun in Vista, California, repairs them.
Also check with Dean Apostal at datsunparts.com. Both are very
knowledgeable, and should be able to direct you if they don't do the repairs
themselves.
You might check 311s.org to see if the topic is covered there.
