Tim,
You mentioned in your original post about this problem, that you had
installed newly rebuilt Z-Therapy carbs. I've heard that at one time there
were problems with their carbs if they installed Grose-Jet fuel float valves
(on Datsun Roadsters, anyway). Apparently, they can and have caused the very
symptoms you describe, due to some kind of vibration problem. I have not
ever used Z-Therapy carbs or Grose-Jet valves, but I thought I'd pass this
on. It might be worth checking out. The Grose-Jet valve uses a ball, looks
like a stainless steel BB. You'll know right away if you check it. More info
