Hi Al,
When you say BRE wheels ,are you talking about what was used on the BRE
Roadsters and 240 Z cars ? If so ,these Where Not BRE wheels ,but were made by
American Racing Wheels (ARE) .
The Wheels they used where Only made in 14x 7 inch's . Since your on the
Roadster Forum ,I would assume that you are possibly involved with a Racing
project ,as this wheel size will not fit a stock body car .The Other wheels
also made by American Racing Wheel used on a lot of Z cars ,Roadsters, and
Datsun 510's was called the "Libra" and it was made in 14"x 5.5 ,14' x 7 ,13x
5" ,and 13x7" .The 13x7" were used on the BRE 2.5 Trans Am 510 .The Difference
in the Wheel used in the BRE C Production Z cars wheels ,if I remember ,is that
those may have been Real Mags ..Those are VERY RARE and expensive ,if you even
can find a set .I have looked for years and have never been able to get Anybody
that has a set they use ,part with them .There is now a NEW Reproduction wheel
made of the Libras ,if that is what you want ,as this was another Very popular
Wheel used both on the Street and Race track . Originals of them are more
plentiful ,and have commanded reasonable prices in the Used market .
BTW ,Some of the MG -B's Raced in the 70's had the Early Race wheels also
.,same bolt pattern .
Good Luck ,
Streve Ehlers
