The temp climbing can be a number of issues as stated - timing not working
properly, leaning out at higher rpm, rad, fan, water pump.......however if
it stays cool at night when the temperature is cool, regardless of how you
drive it, I would look at the cooling system.
A good radiator should be enough (recored 3 row?), but an electric fan could
also be good insurance and is pretty easy to install. I've got a 14" Zirgo
fan in my stroker.
I used to have an overheating problem which only showed up at prolonged
2500+ rpms (highway driving). It went away when I added the programmable
ignition and got rid of the dizzy. I suspect something was wrong with my
advance mechanisms.
