If you're talking about rather small holes at the top of the windshield
frame "side rails," I believe those are for rivets to hold the top of the
door weatherstrip in place.

anyway, on the low windshield cars, there are extra holes in the outside
piece that the weatherstripping attaches to. do i need to put anything in
these? and that piece uses the frame screws for attachment?
