Dave,
It looks like you guys had a blast. I am totally bummed I did not get to go.
I can vouch for the lack of Midwest get togethers, but Tim and I are trying to
get this going again.
Everyone,
For any of you who are close, we were thinking of making a strong showing at
the local Quaker Steak and Lube car cruise night here in Madison/middleton.
The show is every thursday night from 5 to 8 until October I believe. You can
check out their website for more details. I talked to another owner in town
here (Steve Nicks, I don't know if you are on this list yet). He is up for
meeting us there. I believe he is running a 1970 1600 from CA. Bill Wessel
is also up for joining. I believe Bill and Steve are both out of town this
week, but the following (July 9) sounds like it might be a good night. The
QS&L show is mostly (95%) domestics and almost 100% drivers. Even though they
are imports, people get excited to see our little roadsters there. My car is
in no way great shape, but I get a lot of looks and comments. Anyone in the
area should join. Please send me an email and we can rally the troops. I
will try to get a midwest email list so I can give you all more details of
midwest events.
Anyone up for a trip to Road America? I told Tim I would try to put one
together.
Steve Nicks: I cc'd you on this email. I highly recommend joining the
mailing list. You can get on through www.311s.org. Lots of great info comes
this way that does not always make it to the website. It's a great way to
keep up on what is happening in the world of roadsters. Also, join the site
if you have not already.
