Research agrees completey with Ron: The single sidedraft carb/manifold set up
on a 4 cylinder is NOT recommended. Dual SUs would be far superior.

It doesn't work worth beans, regardless of how much jet fiddling you
do. I've heard of a single Weber/Mikuni L-4 manifold from Australia
that feeds cylinders 1 & 3 from one throat, 2 & 4 from the other, but
I've never seen one nor seen pictures of it. Theortically, it should
work far better than the single sidedraft Warnerford manifold in the
picture, but I honestly think a well set up pair of SUs would work far
better for most folks.
