Thanks for the replies. There's only one threaded fitting on the front of
the intake manifold so I plan on installing a "T" which will allow me to
install the temp. sensor and leave the current piping that runs to the
manifold. This should solve the problem. Now to figure out where to install
the temp gauge in the dash area so it looks good but won't cause a trip to
the clinic for stitches.
