Sorry to say so - but that is soooo wrong to do! This type of stuff
should be disposed of properly. Place where I work is an EPA Superfund
site because they used to make power line transformers there, and had
some nasty oil spills in decades past.
PO of my house must have dumped oil behind the garage years ago - during
heavy rains water used to run off the soil back there without soaking
in, right over the sill plate and into the garage. I dug it out and,
just as an experiment, hit it a lick with my propane torch - and it
burned! Dirt shouldn't burn...
