Speaking of planes on the way back from the Motoring J Style show down near
Livermore, we were treated to the Collins Foundation Planes all in the air
giving rides. As we were still coming south on 580 they were headed north the
B-24 was first and the B-25 was second and the B-17 was third in line and we
thought that they were headed somewhere else but got surprised as we headed
east towards Livermore as they came in to land right next to the freeway as we
drove by. Of course we had just seen all 3 planes 2 weeks ago in Carlsbad when
we were going to go catch a ride in couple of them but they were pretty booked
up.
On another note I am happy to announce that several new projects long in the
works are now ready. We have just finished the new fiberglass trunk lids for
both racing or street cars and we are still trying to finish the original
factory hardtops sometime very soon. The other new parts are primarily for race
cars but some are interchangeable for your street car as well.
We now have new chrome molly race axles custom made for the Roadster and
along the same lines we have remade the axle baffles for the rear diff housing
to keep the oil around the LSD unit. We have made a mold of the original BRE
racing seat that was used in the 510 and Z cars and possible the Roadster. but
I do not think so. We have also made the patterns for the early version racing
oil pans that do not hang down below the chassis as much as the aluminum pans
and this pan is one of only 6 ever made originally and we can now make them. We
also did some fun stuff such as stickers for your block off plates on turn
signals and headlights that look exactly like the original lights they replace.
I got tired of seeing Japanese cars with horrible Lucas headlight blockoff
stickers so I made our Toshiba headlights for our blockoffs. Just a little fun
stuff for the detail on our cars.
Take care
