Hi Folks;
Last year I contacted NGK for a recommendation based on my '69 2000, which
is running solexes, B cam, Gary Boone distributor and MSD. I was running NGK
BPR6ES with little problems. At their recommendation I am running BPR6EGP
(G-Power) with great results after about 4000 miles. This may not apply to
your situation though. Here is their answer!

"The BPR6ES is actually one heat range colder than the recommended BPR5ES.
The only advantage to going to the hotter plug is it could last longer by
not allowing carbon to accumulate and stay cleaner throughout the life of
the plug which could result in slightly better throttle response, gas,
mileage, etc.
Being that this is a carbureted application and you do have some
modifications done you are probably fine running the BPR6ES. The v-power,
g-power and iridium IX will all make a noticeable difference in the vehicle
and also extend service life. The most cost effective option would be to
switch to the BPR6EGP (G-Power) as its smaller center firing electrode will
help improve performance and efficiency and typically will not need to be
serviced or checked till 30,000 miles.
The top of the line plug is the IX iridium BPR6EIX which also features a
taper cut ground electrode to extend performance even more and also to help
resist fouling. It has a longer service life of 40,000 miles. Hope this
