Jim,
I have always set the mixture at idle, then balanced the carbs at higher
speed, which is consistent with the Nissan shop manual. I believe adjusting
the mixture at speed (after adjusting it at idle) would screw up the idle,
since there's only one adjustment I'm aware of.
Anyone else care to weigh in?
