so more info on further testing.
When I am in neutral or when the clutch is down, there is no noise.
When I release the clutch into 1st, there is a clicking noise that
matches the movement of the car. This noise is repeated in 2nd and
3rd gear.
When I have forward momentum and I take my foot off the gas, but
still in gear, the noise goes away. I comes back as soon as I press
the accelerator.
Now the weird thing is that there is NO noise in 4th gear at all. I
did it when going very fast with hard wear on the engine and when on
the freeway.
Any further guesses?
thanks for all the help so far.
