"I personally use DOT4 - Castrol GT/LMA for years and years but have switched to Valvoline synthetic DOT4." The last bottle of Castrol I bought said 'New- now synthetic!' on the side... and looked a lot like the previous bottle, which claimed no such thing. BTW, silicosis is what happens to your lungs from breathing silica... heh.
