Alivin,
A great place is Lake Cachuma County Park. I have camped there and it
is really cool. It has a little store, a marina, boat rental, showers
and the lake is great for fishing. You can not swim in it though as it
is a reservoir.I think there could be a place to wash a car too. I will
likely be there if I stay over for Solvang instead of coming up for the
day. I had been thinking about doing a group campsite if there was some
interest.
It is a few miles outside of town and the run from Santa Barbara up
thru the San Marcos pass (spectacular) goes right by it.
