IMHO, the wiper pivots come under the "what were they thinking?" category.
Dissimilar metals, very little space for lubrication, no mention of it as a
maintenance item (at least I don't think so), itty-bitty fragile threads, and
99-percent to bugger up when you try to dissemble 'em.
Surprised the pivots haven't been repro'd yet.
