As an old-hand ebayer, I would just say that if you sell high priced items
on ebay advice your seller to pay in some way other than PayPal.  They get
paid on a percentage of the payment and it is WHOPPING!  When I sell cars.
etc up there I have the buyer pay by cash, cashier's check, direct wire or
account transfer -- saves $$$$$!
