When I went through the body on my carin 1993, I dismantled the entire door
and window mechanisms, removed all old grease, and re-lubed everything. It
all seems to work well, but was real stiff before said cleaning.
I think the stuff is easier to access if you remove the window glass. Door
lock should be held only by a sliding spring clip, removed with the flat blade
of a screwdriver.

Subject: Re: [Roadsters] Driver side door latch
Seems all the parts and there. When I release the screws holding it to the
door, it snapped down and stayed in place, so I will try Grames suggestion and
soak it good in penetrating oil. It seems to be a bugger to get the piece out
of the door with the outside key lock, the door lock, and the door handle
inside and out all attached to this piece, nothing seems to be easy release.
Try it tomorrow to see if this is junked up. Thanks.
