The US had 3148 1500 imported from 62 - 65. The first 300 were single carb.
This seems to have the later model G series motor with the dual carbs
(which for the cold lander's is missing the choke cables). VIN number is
indicated as 580, they started production at 175, so this would be a late '63.
Interesting comment about shifting in and out of gear and no noises. The
1500 all had non-syncro'd first gear and is a double clutching intrigue to
downshift while moving.
It is missing the chrome molding that ran front to rear on the 1500's. The
ragged top is not from the Fairlady, but they have the frame sitting in the
picture at the top.
Still a nice example of a Fairlady. Hope it goes to a good home that will
keep it in good running shape.
