I've seen that before. I watched the auction on eBay when he bought it. I
had dreamed of doing that to my dads 68 1600 since I was old enough to know
anything about cars. I ended up with several Mustangs over the years. All of
them between 64 and 66 models with 289 or 302 engines (partly so I could
know enough about the engines when I found a roadster to put them in). :-)

OK, I've never been a big fan of engine swaps, but yesterday I agreed the
purchase of?a 2000 roadster with a small block Ford V8 - it originally came
from the USA when it ran as a V8 but has been in a barn in the UK for the
last 10 years?- it needs a whole load of work but it will make such an
interesting toy when finished. ?
The question is ... does anyone have any experience?of the results of such a
conversion? Are the standard brakes/gearbox up to it? Any hints/tips/horror
stories greatly appreciated.??
