 I just did this and it was a pain. Enrique's method did not work for me. Had 
to unbolt the nuts off the motor mount and lift. See the thread posted. Be sure 
to change the oil after you put in the new pump. If it leaked you have gas in 
the oil. Get a rebuildable pump if you can then you never have to go thru all 
that again. Or go electric like many have done.

Okay, I feel silly asking this, but how the heck does one remove the fuel pump 
from a 1600 without lifting the engine?  I take the nuts off and the thing 
slides back until it hits the frame, then no more.
