Since everyone likes to correct me, lets look at the original post where it
said

And the post I was replying to that said:
<If you open the choke fully as soon as it's running and use the throttle to
keep it running you are running lean (hot).>
Which I read as, if you pull the choke knob out, it will be running lean,
which is when I said
<Opening the choke does not lean out the mixture, it richens it.>
On the above referenced car (a stock SU Datsun Roadster) pulling the choke
knob will not lean out the mixture, it will richen it up, so I stand by my
original statement
