After a couple hours of testing and head scratching the thought was a bad
carbereator. I was going to start crying at more down time and more money while
dealing with the rebuild process.
Then a stuck choke was noticed. Choke cable fixed, carb balance verified and
the idle smoothed right out.
She is now running better than the she has in years...but still getting too
hot. This car has been hot blooded for over 20 years so after I verify the
thermostat is in correctly, I guess I am going to pull the radiator and get it
cleaned out and maybe another core put in.
Will these radiators take a fourth core? I think we already have three.
Hopefully a boil out and a good cooling system enema will solve the heat issue.
