It's actually pretty easy to hotwire one of these. The real problem is the
lock on the steering column. You can start it, but can you drive it?

Most crooks are pretty dumb, anyway. Years ago I had had a problem with the
switch/lock assembly and had hotwired it myself on a semi-permanent basis. I
used the fog light toggle to energize the ignition and wired a pushbutton
under the dash for the starter.

Some dummy decided to steal the car one night and managed to screw up half
the wiring harness because he was TOO STUPID TO REALIZE IT WAS ALREADY
HOTWIRED!
