Hi, All!
I'm doing a frame-off restoration of a Roadster. I'm ready to compress
the front coil springs and reattach the spindle to the upper and lower
ball joints.
My question is, what have you frame-off folks done in the past to compress
that coil spring safely. NOTE! There is no body, engine or anything on
this frame, so the "jack underneath" method won't work -- no weight! The
manual shows a special tool that fits into where the shock goes. Has
anyone made one of these?
Any pointer would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks!
Paul
