I don't know about removing the lock cylinder, but to remove the locking mechanism all you do is turn it over and unscrew the 2 small screws on the underside, remove the plate, then remove the locking prongs. Replace the plate and the screws and it functions as a regular cap. If it's locked to the filler, get in the trunk and unscrew the hose and remove the filler neck, then use a long screwdriver to unscrew and the cap can be removed. http://www.higenki.com/socalroc/pics/dsc01516.jpg Ron |
