What I don't understand is if these vehicles are modified to the extent that
the drivers cannot see adequately what is around them, how come they are
permitted on public roads?
Are these "lift" kits and huge tyres legal?
Now for my SP310 restoration update: -
Engine is now waiting for the valve springs to be renewed and re-faced
rockers to be done.
It may be that "L" series valve springs will be OK for the G15.
Bottom end is virtually finished.
After easing the crank out and liberally lubing the rear rope crank seal
with oil, the engine now turns a lot easier. I'm not used to anything as
advanced as a rope crank seal!
Timing gear installation was a bit of a challenge, the Nissan Manual for the
SP310 was so vague that my head was aching!
However, I finally worked it out and it all seems good.........for now.
When I get a wee bit of spare time, I will rebuild my brothers farm truck
(521 pickup) engine, which has a J15. Shouldn't be too hard with the
experience I have gained from the G15.
BUT, I'm getting ahead of all my other projects!
