I was with yhe Royal Marines ( unoficially) in the New territories outside of HongKong/Kowloon 1968. in the 2 days I spent with them we counted 851 bodies floating down the river and out to sea ( during the Red Guard purges) a thousand lifes to Chinese government is less than nothing.
