No argument - you're entitled to your opinion. My opinion is the American
Public will say one thing, but the American Consumer will do the real
talking with their wallets.
Also thought I'd let you know not to buy a bicycle either. Almost all
bicycle components are currently manufactured in China (my brother is a
products manager at Trek).

This will be a controversial opinion - but I'd rather park my Roadster
permanently (not just for 16 years, as it has been - but that's a long
story) than keep it running by supporting the export of more manufacturing
business to Red China, a country with one of the worst records on human
rights issues and environmental concerns than anywhere else on the planet.
