Subject: Wheel Stud knurling
OK,
I've managed to break off a wheel stud by dropping the jack a little too
fast to set my new springs, Duh!! A new wheel stud of the 7/16"-20 variety
is not hard to find, but I can't find one at any of the local parts stores
that have the "fine" knurling of the original stud, just these coarse ones.
I hate to pound in a different knurl pattern just to make it fit. It's kind
of like forcing a fine and coarse threaded nut and bolt to fit. Just doesn't
seem right. Any direct replacement for these original wheel studs? As
always, thanks in advance, Mike Hudson '67 - 1600
