I've been running with a riding lawn mower battery for a couple of years
now. It would start the high compression race motor with no problems. All
the systems run off the alternator anyway. The starter only starts the car.
Lawn mower batteries come in a few different amperages. I've got one that
is 430cca. Just make sure to get everything grounded really well and you
should be fine.

When I put Mr. Hyde together I grounded the battery to the engine block
only. Then I put 1" wide braid straps around both motor mounts to ground
the engine to the frame. These braided straps were available in various
lengths at my local auto supply store. The original frame to body ground
wires are still in place. So far, no problems at all.

Hi Everyone,

Well... after installing the PC925L, I have decided it is too small....yes
.. some of you were right. I guess I had to see it for myself.

I am returning the battery and purchasing a PC1200. Here is the link from
West Coast Batteries if your interested:

  http://www.odysseybatteries.com/battery/pc1200.htm

Question: How do you all ground your battery? My old connects was one
to the engine and one to the frame. Is it worth adding another ground wire
to the frame?

  Thanks !
