Brake Theory Web Page?

Hello All,
        I'm looking for a webpage that explains brake theory.  I need to
figure out what size master cylinder I need to use to get a strange hybrid
brake system I am working on.  I would love a page with some equations or
some sort of relations like, the disk brake cylinders are x so you should
use y as a master cylinder bore or something like that?

        Any help would be greatly appreciated.
