O/T clutch life

hi everyone
  i feel like i'm living on borrowed time (or at least my clutch  is).  or 
maybe this is normal.  i have a 1998 ford contour,  V-6, 5 - spd., with 137,000 
miles on the odo.  on the original  clutch, with no signs of slippage.  is this 
normal?
